Join the fun on Sunday, September 16th at Manchester State Park
Manchester State Park is the perfect place to have an end-of-summer party!

There's a covered kitchen area (first-come, first-serve) surrounded by a large flat grassy area. Each picnic table has a camp grill, so bring some burgers and have a cookout. Even a little rain won't slow down the party with the covered area. If it's a nice day, there are plenty of trees for shade and open areas to catch those sun rays.
Manchester State Park is a beautiful spot, on the water looking towards the south end of Bainbridge Island. It's about 6 miles past Port Orchard so it is a bit out of the way but the location is awesome.
Activities
- Mondo Croquet - played with bowling balls and sledge hammers, with the 10th annual championship recently held in Portland. Click here for more information, and remember, you need to supply your own bowling ball and sledge hammer.
- Bocce Ball - this is on the standard scale and has been a lot of fun every other Thursday in Bremerton's new Waterfront Park. It's an easy game for all to play and not over until the last ball is tossed.
- Volleyball - there's a net and sand field set up and we have a ball. What is a party at the beach without volleyball??
- Walking/Hiking/Biking - there are a couple miles of trails along the beach.
- Hanging Out and Catching Up with Friends - this is a great park to spread out a blanket or set up a lawn chair and take life easy.
- Blackberries - it may have been the Blackberry festival in Bremerton over Labor Day weekend, but the mess of them at Manchester State Park look like they'll be perfect in two more weeks!
The Details
Who: Everyone, please join us. This is a nice place for kids, and well-behaved dogs on leases are welcome too.
Bring: Blankets, lawn chairs, food, drink (this is a state park, so alcohol is allowed in the picnic area), equipment for Mondo Croquet, your friends and sun screen! We'll supply charcoal and lighter fluid for grills.
