Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to support the community, meet new people and have some fun! 

Many opportunities exist to volunteer and support our community. Options range from a one-time commitment to on-going positions, so it's possible to fit something into every schedule. Below are some of the possibilities to support the community. The list is always changing and all types of help is needed.

KCHAF’s annual holiday silent auction to raise funds for the extra food and basic needs items we deliver over the holidays and for the winter months.
Volunteers are needed to help collect donations, set up and run the auction.

World AIDS Day, Saturday December 1, 2007. Time 6pm

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Volunteers are needed to plan and carry out our local community’s observance. There is usually a program followed by a candlelight vigil. World AIDS Day is December 1st.

Kitsap Pride 2008

 
 
 
 
This first meeting is to form a committee and to review past events and will be held on November 27, 2007 at 6pm at Positive Solutions in East Bremerton.
 
Regular monthly meetings will begin in January.

The Q Center

 

The Q Center, Kitsap County's GLBTQ youth Center, is seeking members to serve on a new Community Advisory Board. Meetings will be monthly with the goal of moving to bimonthly. Regular meetings will begin in January 2008.

The board should be comprised of men and women from the AIDS, LGBT, public health and education community assists the Q Center in its mission. Members would be a liaison to the community and work to ensure the projects future.
